Helmet and The Melvins with supporting act Regurgitator, would play at a nightclub in Houston named Numbers, and guess who did the gig poster for the show? Jermaine made this poster featuring Edgar Allan Poe with the word 'optimist' scribbled across his forehead. At the bottom, he printed a memorial to a friend of his he met while working in the scene.
Josh, a huge fan of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, would come in to see productions at River Oaks Theater on Saturday nights while Jermaine was working back in '93 and '94.
Yea, he was a good guy, wild dude. He went by several names over the time I knew him. Never talked about family or anything...I think he was running from stuff. Anyways... He was kind of an artist...but not really. It was just really fun to go out and do unsmart/stupid things with him. Really salt of the earth dude...for all of his faults, he knew that his life was basically going nowhere...and he just came to terms with it. There's a weird kind of honor in that. Or maybe not. I'm still not sure. But I miss the guy sometimes. Died too fast...he was a baby, really. Anyways...It's weird. Things move on...
