No. The group is the community, and it stays right where it is. CarryCollect is the infrastructure the group never had: a way to track what you own, prove what it is, and buy or sell without the risk of a handshake deal with a stranger. The conversation keeps living in the group. The collections get a proper home.

Joining is free, always. The vault, the catalog, and browsing the registry cost nothing. You only ever pay for optional things: a Founders or Charter badge if you want one, Gold certification when you want a piece formally reviewed, and a seller fee when something of yours sells on the Exchange.

No. Nothing is required. Plenty of members will use CarryCollect purely to catalog and track their collection. The Exchange is there for when you want protection that a comment-thread deal cannot give you.

Only one hundred exist. It is also what funds the building of this platform. And like everything else here, 1% of it goes to the Carry Fund, so a piece of every badge went to St. Jude.

Charter membership opens the moment Founders fills. Five hundred seats at $49 with a permanent badge and a smaller lifetime fee discount. Fewer perks than Founders, but real, and permanent.

Yes. The Founders Circle is open now. Create your account, confirm your email, and save your legal name in your profile so checkout is instant. The badge carries your name and number. Your founder number is your claim order.

Every payment runs through Stripe, the same processor behind millions of businesses. Your money is held in escrow until the piece arrives and you confirm it is right. If it shows up damaged or not as described, you open a report and a real resolution process starts, with refunds when that is the right answer. No friends-and-family transfers. No hoping.

Payment is secured before you ship anything, and tracking is part of the flow. Reviews are double-blind: both sides write before either is shown, so nobody can hold a bad review over your head to squeeze you. The same resolution process that protects buyers protects you from false claims.

Listing is free. When a piece sells, the platform fee starts at 5%. The Founders Badge takes 1% off for life, Charter takes off half a percent, and the fee also drops as your Carry Score grows. However the discounts stack, the fee never goes below the 2.5% floor. The fee only applies to the first $1,500 of any single sale, with a $1 minimum so tiny trades stay simple. Standard card processing (Stripe's 2.9% plus 30 cents, the same as anywhere cards are accepted) is separate and comes out of the sale as well. The only other line items on a sale, the 1% Carry Fund and the artist royalty on gains, are covered in the next answer. Nothing else, nothing hidden.

Three places, all visible on every sale. The platform fee keeps the lights on and builds what is next. One percent of every sale, and every membership purchase, goes into the Carry Fund, our giving fund: today it supports St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, and as we grow, the community will nominate and vote on where it gives next. And when a piece resells at a profit, the original artist earns a royalty of 5% of the gain. Artists getting paid on the secondary market is the point, not an afterthought.

The Vault is your private collection record: photos, what you paid, what it is worth, condition, notes. Visible only to you unless you choose otherwise. The Registry is the shared public record of provenance: when a piece matters enough, you register it, and it carries a permanent entry with photos and its story.

Registration puts a piece on record with photos and its history. Gold certification goes further: we review your actual copy, the photos, the signature, the edition details, and issue a permanent certificate. When the piece sells or is passed on, the certificate follows it to the new owner. Years from now, the question of who owned this and whether it is real has an answer you can point to.

Gold means your specific copy has been reviewed and certified. Diamond is the highest tier: a certified piece that CarryCollect stands behind with a guarantee, the strongest backing we offer.

Your vault records your copy exactly as it is: remarqued or defaced, where and when it happened, with photos and the story. Bought pre-defaced, your cost is what you paid. Defaced in front of you at a convention, your cost is the print price and the story is the remarque. As for value, nobody gets to declare that, including us. We record what comparable copies actually sell for, and for a true one of a kind the honest answer is a range, not a made-up number, so that is what we show. The certificate and the story are what make a future buyer believe your copy is what you say it is.

Points for participating. Registering pieces, contributing catalog corrections, sales that go smoothly: they all add to your score, and it only goes up. Founders earn score 1.3 times faster and Charter members 1.15 times faster. That faster earning is the multiplier you may see mentioned in the perks.

Milestones your Carry Score passes through: Collector, then Ally, then Keeper, then Archivist. Higher tiers pay a lower selling fee and unlock longer perks. Ally is simply the second step, nothing more mysterious than that.

Gold certification costs $10, and it comes free on pieces bought straight from CarryCollect drops or the Obscura. A credit is a free certification. Some tiers and badges grant free credits, and the bank cap is how many unused credits you can save up at once. A perk that reads plus one bank cap just means you can save one extra.

An artist releasing new work directly on the site at a set time, the way a gallery does a release day. None are on the calendar yet, and we will not pretend otherwise. When they happen, Founders walk in first.

A mystery-piece feature coming after launch. Sealed pieces, bought or gifted blind, revealed when they arrive. Founders will see its inventory before anyone else. More on it when it is real.

After you buy a piece on the platform, we can hold it safely before it ships, so you can combine shipments or resell it without the piece ever leaving trusted hands. Higher Carry Tiers hold longer, and Founders get the window of the tier above theirs.
