Today 15 years ago, Factory 81 would take the stage at Fitzgeralds in Houston, TX with supporting acts Chimaira, Ill Nino, and 40 Below Summer. Personally, before this post, I had never heard of Factory 81, but upon discovery I was pleasantly pleased. Factory 81 is a nu-metal band, with a sound similar to the Deftones with touches of Hed(PE), Snot, Taproot, and Rage Against the Machine that formed in Detroit Michigan. Active from '97 to '03 they only ever released one full length album titled, Mankind. If you haven't heard them and you're into the sound, it's a refreshing listen.

The scene of a deformed, ugly, and pathetic person...hands black with guilt...and at the end of his rope. When you really feel so badly about yourself...so guilty because of things you've done...like even God might not forgive you this time...that's a bad feeling. The deformities to this persons spine add to the pathetic aura.
